I’m sharing#BabyBullet in my life as part of a Baby Bullet sponsored series for Socialstars™.

Confession time: none of my 3 kids has ever had pureed baby food. We’ve never bought a single package of baby puree. How, you say? I have 3 letters for you… BLW.

Baby-led weaning is a feeding philosophy that allows and encourages your baby to self-feed from the start of solids. The mantra is “food before one is just for fun”. No spoon feeding or purees, just large chunks of fresh, whole foods that baby learns to manage by touch, smell and taste. So, what do you actually feed a baby led weaning baby? Take a peek at my post about baby led weaning basics here and keep scrolling for a yummy BLW-friendly steamed apple with cinnamon how-to, perfect for the season since fall flavors are in full swing.

You really only need one thing for this recipe – enterBaby Bullet. It’s a complete baby food making system – so you can use the steamer and then puree OR you can just steam and feed. I’m BUSY (aren’t all moms?!) and I want to feed Emmy the best, whole nutritious foods and Baby Bullet makes it easier and more convenient for me to do that. I’m all about minimal effort, time saved, and feeding baby all organic and healthy for my babe. Take a peek at my Emmy’s favorite fall recipe – easy steamed apples with cinnamon:

Grab Baby Bullet Turbo Steamer and follow the instructions in the User Guide that comes with the package – they have steam time and water levels needed for almost anything you’d want to give baby, plus the steamer also works as a sterilizer or a defroster. A pretty nifty little thing to have around ;). I grabbed a red delicious and a golden delicious apple to steam, cored the red delicious using an apple corer to make wedges and used a crinkle cutter on the golden delicious to make thick “chips”:

After the apples were done steaming, I sprinkled cinnamon on top, let them cool, and gave them to Emmy. A huge hit!

Not going to lie, I totally stole a few of her apple slices for myself and they were GOOD.
