Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (46-28/22-29)

LEHIGH VALLEY 6, SYRACUSE 4 (BOX)

Luisangel Acuna hit a three-run homer in the top of the third and Yolmer Sanchez added another run with a solo shot in the fourth, but Brandon Sproat gave it all back in the bottom of the inning. The right-hander was on cruise control up until that point, allowing just a single walk while striking out five, but he just fell apart. After allowing a David Dahl solo homer to lead off the inning, he allowed three more runs on hit two batters, two singles and a double. Joey Lucchessi held the IronPigs scoreless and kept Syracuse in the ballgame during his time on the mound, but they plated two off of Grant Hartwig in the bottom of the eighth. In the ninth, Syracuse attempted a comeback, with Acuna reaching third, but DJ Stewart was called out looking to end the game on a challenged pitch that was overturned and ruled a strike, and thus, the strikeout.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (35-32/28-23)

BINGHAMTON 3, HARTFORD 2 (BOX)

In his last start, Jordan Geber went six innings, allowing two runs on five hits. Last night, he tossed six innings, allowing two runs on five hits. Neat! Ryan Clifford drove in two and Wyatt Young extended his on-base streak to 19 games.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (33-33/25-30)

BROOKLYN 3, WINSTON-SALEM 2 (BOX)

A Dash sac fly in the bottom of the first was the only run that either team managed for the majority of this ballgame. In the sixth, Christopher Suero hit his second double of the evening to drive in the recently-promoted Boston Baro and knot things up at 1-1 and in the seventh, Junior Tillien hit a sharp liner past the first baseman to drive in two, giving the Cyclones the lead. Jordany Ventura gave up a run in the bottom of the seventh, but Eduardo Herrera and Justin Lawson locked things down for the win.

He would go on to log two hits in total in St. Lucie’s eventual win. Of note, the rehabbing Jett Williams went 0-1 with two walks and a HBP as the DH and the newly promoted Daiverson Gutierrez went 1-3 with two strikeouts, his lone hit a double.
