SAP EVERYWHERE

1) the wood has warped after only a few months 2) sap has leaked out of it creating dark patches and it’s very unsightly3) the hardware is cheap and all of the boards don’t line up4) waste of money

All “Natural Cedar” Wood 🪵

Great quality of wood, but Natural” so wood need to give a nice run through with 120 Medium sand paper. To help give your a great “Natural” look.

Nominal (misleading) verses actual measurements

In the Q & A the UFPI rep answered on 6/13/23 the size of the planks were 1x4x42 Actual size of planks are 5/8 x 3.5 x 42. We also needed a true 18 in. to keep rabbits out so hope it's enough. The boards have a very strong cedar smell, almost overpowering.I wanted to love this and thought it would be an upgrade from what we had. Overpriced, disappointed.

OKAY-ish

We ordered this to fit a small space up against our house. We also ordered some 2 CF bags of "Raised Bed" soil to be delivered too & ended up using 6 bags (compacting it down as we filled it). I left 1-1/2" at the top for a layer of much. As far as quality that's where it's a little sketchy. All of the short boards had 1 smooth finished side and 1 rough side but only 5 of the 12 longer ones had the finished side & a couple of them had splintered edges. It's "OK" for the price / convenience.

Not bad.

Overall good product. This is y second one. Not all boards fit equally in the slots so the assembly has easy and harder moments. Make sure you have rubber mallet.

Great Product Exceptional Company Outstanding Service

Ordered the Havens 2x8 on Christmas Eve and put it together upon receipt. During assembly one of the end caps was broken. I took a picture, emailed the company as listed in other reviews. I received a very prompt response from John at UFP Retail Solutions. John at UFP followed up with an email today with a copy of an invoice shipping a replacement cap without cost. How Great is that for Customer Service. Easy assembly, Looks great. Ordered Another Havens 2x8 raised garden bed TBDelivered.

The Raised Garden Bed We Wanted

Received the Havens 2x8 Raised Garden Bed and was easy to assemble. The only mishap is one of the caps was broken. Sent a request to UFPI rep for a replacement cap. Hopefully, will receive it. The only thing left to do is fill it with soil. We're hoping to get many years of use from it, as it is cedar. Like the plastic Corners. Going to order another 2x8 as we have enough room around the deck. Overall, we think it's a winner.

Easy Set Up

I set up the 4' x 4' cedar raised garden bed very easily. The pieces are tongue and groove style and they fit together like puzzle pieces. This set is also designed to be added on to if you decide to make another bed or make it higher than the 7 inches high that it is. I might decide to make mine deeper than the 7 inches because I have very hard dry clay soil and I want my plants to have room to grow deeper than 7 inches. These raised garden beds are nice and neat spaces to have a raised bed anywhere that you decide you want a small flower or vegetable garden.

Small Well made Raised Bed Garden

I have been raised bed gardening for a couple of years and it has presented some success. I wanted to expand and this Outdoor Essentials Haven 4x4 is perfect.It's about 7 inches high, but it is expandable to stack another set on top. It is also expandable to make an 8 foot bed. 4x4 doesn't seem too big, but it will hold about 4 tomato plants or even more smaller crops.The materials are made well. You could smell the cedar boards as soon as the box was open. The installation is simple. Took about 10 minutes. The boards slide in the corners. There is even a cap that goes over the corners. The ends are made of thick plastic but they are sturdy.The 4x4 bed will hold about 8 cubic foot of soil. Lay weed barrier down and then put in the soil. Then you are ready for planting.
