During the past 3 years of Palm Beach Gardens High School, my experience was much better than I imagined. I always thought school was going to be scary and I would never be able to figure out what I wanted to do with my life.
Some of my best experiences involved my AICE/AP classes and my AVID class. It allowed me to open my eyes to new opportunities I never thought I would get to have. I feel college ready and excited to be faced with challenges. All the teachers and staff seem to care both about students mental health and academics. The staff and teachers always encourage you to be the very best you can.
Sometimes, the experience cannot be so great. Although many teachers are kind, there are times where sitting down in a classroom is full of suffocation. The teachers push you to be the very best, but sometimes it can be a little suffocating. There are many high expectations that throw mental health out the window.
For the most part, my experience has been great!

At Palm Beach Gardens High School, there are two very different crowds: there are the one's who go to school to simply get their diploma and there are those who go to school to achieve their diploma and much more by being involved in various programs and clubs. Overall, the school isn't the best in regards to academics and sports, however, there is a very large community of students who help make the school better along with certain efforts by the staff. For the previous two years, Gardens experienced far too many instances involving guns on campus and therefore metal detectors were put into place which I believe has overall made the school better. In the bigger picture, Gardens is not the number one choice to send your child to but can be a very enjoyable and overall educating experience IF you take the right classes and surround yourself with the right people.

My experience so far with Palm Beach Gardens High School has been great! From teachers, to staff, to even the principle they are all so kind and caring for the students. But my worst experience was during my freshman year, when the outbreak of COVID-19 went around everything was stressful and unmotivating which was something that was completely new due to the fact that we had to quarantine and take online classes, after it eased down a bit and we were allowed to go back to school it was all weird, it was as if school was something completely new to everyone because although we were allowed to go back to school physically we were still doing everything behind a computer, which I had been doing since the start of my freshman year. After my freshman year, the rest of my 3 years including this one have been phenomenal, the variety of courses that are available from arts, to english, to different levels of science and math! Overall I'd recommend others to come and attend this high school!
