About Corporate and Continuing Education Registration

If you've ever wanted to build your career skills, advance in your career, earn a higher salary, gain professional certification or explore a personal interest, then you're in the right place. Corporate and Continuing Education (CCE) offers courses and nationally recognized career certifications that can be completed in a shorter time frame than in an academic credit program.

  • There is no application required
  • For most classes there are no placement tests to take, and there are no transcripts to submit.
  • Payment is due at the time of registration, and students can register for classes up to the day before the class starts if there is space available. While there is no federal or state financial aid available for CCE classes, there are several payment options:

    • Debit Card or Credit Card (Payment can be accepted online, by Phone, by Mail or Walk In. Debit and credit card transactions are subject to a 2.5% service fee.)
    • Company Registration/Billing (Registration can be processed by Phone or Fax with a Letter of Authorization on company letterhead, or with a company Purchase Order)

Steps to Register for Corporate and Continuing Education Classes

  1. Choose your class or program.Click here to view the online course catalog.*Be sure to check the "Materials List" link for any additional materials that are required, or optional for the class. Most Healthcare classes require forms and/or paperwork that is due on the first day of class, details can be found on the "Materials List" link.

  2. Choose a payment option:

    • Online - from thecourse catalog click on the "Register" button for the class and follow the instructions. (Online registrations must be made with a debit or credit card, which are subject to a 2.5% service fee.)

    • Phone - Call (803) 732-0432 to speak to a Call Center Representative. (Phone registrations can be processed with a debit or credit card, which are subject to a 2.5% service fee.)

    • Mail - Fill out and print theRegistration Form. Include credit card information (debit or credit card transactions are subject to a 2.5% service fee) or a check made payable to Midlands Technical College.

    • Walk In - Walk into any one of our six campuses. Campus hours are: Mondays - Thursdays, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (Debit or credit card transactions are subject to a 2.5% service fee.)

Tuition

Tuition varies with each course and is listed after each course description.

Refunds

If you find it necessary to withdraw from a class, you may be eligible to receive a refund depending upon when you withdraw. You must officially withdraw from a class to receive a refund. Contact the Continuing Education Registration Office at 803-732-0432; press option1.

  • You may also request a transfer into another class, or you can send someone else in your place, if the student has completed any required prerequisites.
  • If you do not withdraw and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.
  • Refunds are not available after classes begin.
  • Tuition will be refunded 100% for any classes canceled by the College.

Collection Statement

Midlands Technical College employs third party agencies to collect delinquent student accounts. By registering for classes, you are acknowledging responsibility to pay any expenses incurred by the college to collect your account, should it become delinquent.

Change Notification

Midlands Technical College reserves the right to make necessary changes in registration fees, course dates, times, curricula, and faculty. Every effort will be made to work with students who have already enrolled in a course where changes were made.

Special Accommodations

The college requests students notify Counseling Services, 803-822-3505 of any special accommodation needs at least 30 working days prior to the first day of class. This notification will help insure quality and availability of the services needed.

Check into the educational benefits offered by your company. Many area institutions, businesses, and industries have tuition assistance policies and encourage their employees to explore continuing education opportunities to help advance their careers.

Continuing Education Units (CEU'S)

The CEU is a nationally recognized method for recording participation in a continuing education program that does not count toward a degree, but does meet established standards for increasing knowledge and competencies. One CEU is awarded for each 10 contact hours of participation in an organized non-credit continuing education program. Records for CEU's are kept on file in the Registrar's Office at Midlands Technical College. No CEU's are awarded for personal interest courses.

Lawful Presence Must Be Verified Before Enrollment to the College

In January 2009, the state of South Carolina enacted the SC Illegal Immigration Reform Act (section 59-101-430 of the South Carolina Code of Laws, As Amended). Midlands Technical College is in full compliance with this law.
