The Best Pick Your Own Tulip Farm near Toronto 2024 (2024)

The sight of a field of blooming tulips is a truly breathtaking sight and a sure sign that spring has arrived! Did you know that in Ontario, there is a stunning pick-your-own tulip farm near Toronto?

Opening April 27, 2024 at 1 p.m.

Each year, I can’t wait to grab my camera and head out to capture the beautiful spring flowers in bloom, take some impressive photographs, and pick a bunch of stunning tulips to take home to celebrate the start of Spring.

My favourite location is the TASC Tulip Farm now located in Ridgeville, Ontario. It was formerly located in Fenwick, but don’t worry, the new location is just around the corner!

This tulip farm has over two million tulips that visitors can walk through, pick their own favourite tulips to take home, take Instagram-worthy photos, and even bring their dogs.

While some people may travel all the way to Europe to see these popular spring flowers, we are lucky to have this beautiful pick-your-own tulip farm right here in Ontario.

Where is the Pick Your Own Tulip Farm located?

❋ Address: 433 Sixteen Rd, Ridgeville, Ontario
Website: TASC Tulip Farm

Starting in 2024, the TASC Tulip Farm will move to Ridgeville, Ontario. In past years, the farm was located in Fenwick. Ridgeville is very close to the previous Fenwick location.

Ridgeville is about 1.5 hours from Toronto and only 30 minutes from Niagara Falls.

The TASC Tulip Farm first opened in 2021 and has grown more and more popular each year. The Ridgeville location has expanded to include 40 acres with over two million tulips and more than 100 different varieties of tulips.

When is the Tulip Farm Open?

❋ The TASC Pick Your Own Tulips Farm opens on April 27, 2024

The TASC Tulip Farm is scheduled to open April 27–May 19, 2024. Of course, tulips need warm weather and sunshine to begin their show, so dates may adjust slightly based on the weather.

The farm itself is open Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. and on Friday–Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.

Do you need tickets to visit the Tulip Farm?

Yes. You do need to purchase tickets to visit the TASC Tulip Farm website. Monday–Thursday tickets have flexible entry. You can visit whenever it is convenient for you on those days. For Friday-Sunday tickets, you will choose a certain date and time that work for you.

It is highly recommended that you purchase a ticket ahead of time (especially if you want to visit on the weekend), as this tulip farm does sell out on some dates. If the tulips are late to bloom and the farm delays the opening, the farm will email you to rebook your purchased ticket for another day.

How much do Tickets to the Farm Cost?

If you visit Monday-Thursday, adult tickets are $18.50 and children’s tickets are $13.50. All tickets for Friday and Saturday cost $19.50. Adult tickets include 10 pick-your-own tulips, and children’s tickets include 5 tulips. What a deal!

When is the Best Time to Visit?

Pick your own tulips farms in Ontario are only open for a relatively short Spring season. Flowers usually bloom in late April and continue to bloom into May.

Because there are so many different kinds of tulips on the farm, different tulips will bloom at different times throughout the season, making it easy to always find some flowers in bloom.

It is important to remember that because it is a pick-your-own tulip farm, many of the flowers do eventually get picked, so I would recommend that if you can visit within the first week, you may find there are more tulips to choose from.

Can you take photographs?

Absolutely! Taking photographs of the colourful rows and rows of tulips is one of the primary reasons to visit this tulip farm in Ontario. Personal photography and video recording are permitted (and even encouraged), although drones are not allowed.

Professional photographers can book times that are closed to the public, and the farm will recommend local photographers if you reach out through email. The farm also has an Instagram page, @tascgrowtogether and encourages visitors to tag them in their posts.

Are dogs allowed in the Tulip Farm?

Yes! TASC Tulip Farm does allow well-behaved, leashed dogs Monday–Thursday. Only service dogs and dogs in strollers are allowed Friday through Sunday.

Can you Pick Your Own Tulips?

Of course! In fact, that’s one of the best parts of the visit. Be warned, however, that it’s hard to pick just 10 tulips (included in your ticket cost).

There are so many beautiful varieties and colours of tulips that you may want to buy even more to take home with you! When you arrive at the farm, you will be provided with instructions on how to properly pick your tulips.

Is there Parking and Food at the Tulip Farm?

Yes. There is a free parking lot located at the farm. There are also some food trucks and picnic tables at the farm, but this isn’t really the primary focus of the farm, so you may want to visit one of the local towns or even head out to Niagara-on-the-Lake if you want to truly enjoy a meal on your day out.
