A photoshoot in the tulip fields is always a special moment, together with the questions:

what to wear at the tulip fields photoshoot?
what is the best look for a baby?
and for the husband?

Based on this, I will show you some examples and tips to apply into your look!
First, let’s start from a basic rule that is:
“Dress according to your personal style and use what you feel good in and recognize yourself in”
Following this article to see the practical tips that I prepared for you to take advantage of when composing looks for your photoshoot.

Babies (0-3yo)

Plain color pieces without so much volume are always a great choice since babies are tinny and we don’t want to lose a smile because of a huge piece of clothing covering their faces.
Colors: Light and neutral colors like white, gray, beige, and brown. They are perfectly matched to the brighter background colors of the tulips. If you are a fan of colorful clothes, pastel colors are also a cute option.

Children (from 3 years old)

For children, the most important thing is to be comfortable. So they will be able to play during the photoshoot and the photos will look even more authentic.

A basic look is a versatile option for any location, including the tulip fields. Jeans with light/neutral t-shirt and Trico.

If your children have a style that represents more like their colorful world, a look full of life and small prints, are also welcome.

Grown-ups, parents… you name it!

Prioritize fluid pieces, which leave your movements free to walk, hop, sit…

Let’s start with the colors. Neutrals are always a good choice but they do not have to be the variants of white, gray, beige, and brown. They can be mustard, forest green, rust, mauve, navy, etc. If you want brighter colors, I would suggest choosing just one.

Basic Clothes:

It doesn’t need much. A basic look in light and neutral colors always works super well in contrast with the colorful tulips on the background and will also match everyone’s look.
Jumpsuit, jeans, t-shirts.

Clothes that show more movement:

  • Long dress: With a dress, you can have fun swishing it around and twirling, besides that, when you walk it looks awesome with the wind.
A dress that is tighter up top with a loose and flowy fabric for the skirt is a good choice. This will create that movement we are looking for.
  • Skirts: Full skirts are also great for spinning and swishing!
  • Kimono over a top and jeans.
  • Flare leg pants or bell-bottoms, a t-shirt tucked in the front or tied in a knot, with a long coat or duster over it.
  • Romper with a duster.

Accessories:

When you book a photoshoot with me on the tulip fields you automatically have access to my personal collection with accessories that I keep especially for this season. Every year I buy at least one new accessory; so after you pay the deposit fee, you will receive an updated pdf with all of them.

But feel free to bring your own accessories, as:
Blanket: Another way to create movement with fabric is to bring a blanket to your photo session.
Bags: Throwing a bag over your shoulder can add movement to a shot and look awesome on camera.
