The connecting tool-free snap-lock brackets are made of high impact ABS plastic resin, and the composite timbers are made from a blend of sustainable hardwood fibers and post-consumer recycled plastic.
Each board is a standard 2 x 6 size (actual dimensions: 1.5" x 5.5") and 44.5 inches long which creates a 4 foot span from joint to joint.
Assembly
Installation involves sliding thepatented snap-lock brackets onto each end of a board and fasten securely with one snap-lock button. The snap-lock brackets have stakes which are simply pressed into the ground. To create a second level, slide the stake of another bracket into the top of the ground-level bracket from above. No tools required!
The patented anchor snap-lock bracket system allows installation on hard surfaces such as rooftops, patios or decks as well as traditional landscapes.

All in all, composite decking for raised beds is a great option for anyone looking for a long-lasting, low-maintenance solution. Not only does it resist, rot, mould and insects, but it also looks great and comes in a variety of colours.
For a 4x8–foot raised bed with a 10” height, about 1 cubic yard of soil is needed. For a 4x8-foot raised bed with a 6” height, using Mel's Mix: about 5 cubic feet each of compost, peat moss, and vermiculite is needed.
Raised bed sizes can vary greatly, but let's use the example of a 4x8' raised bed. In this bed you could plant two rows of tomatoes, which are each 8' long. If using cages or another wide support system, you can probably fit 6-8 tomato plants in that bed.
If you love gardening but struggle with limited space or poor soil quality, a raised garden bed might be just what you need! Raised garden beds are containers made from wood, metal, or even Trex deck boards that hold soil above ground level. They offer several benefits over traditional in-ground gardening.
To put it simply, you should put a layer of organic material at the bottom of your garden bed, which will break down and enrich the soil. This can include compost, or woody material such as logs, dry wood, branches, and leaves.
In general, with proper maintenance, the soil in a raised bed can last for many years. Here are some guidelines for how long raised bed soil can remain viable: Soil that is well-maintained and regularly amended with organic matter can last for up to 10 years or more.
