Materials

  • Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Glitter Acrylic Craft Paint in Sterling and Sugar Cube
  • Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Craft Paint in Wedding Cake
  • Basic Brush Set
  • 16-ounce mason jars
  • 2 16-ounce mason jars
  • 2 8-ounce mason jars
  • Martha Stewart Ribbon Set from Iridescent Collection
  • 4 5-foot Micro LED string lights
  • Dual temperature hot glue gun
  • Precision scissors
  • Water basin
  • Paper towels

Instructions

  1. Using a 1-inch flat brush, paint four mason jar lids using the Wedding Cake paint color.

  2. Using a clean 1-inch flat brush, paint one 8-ounce and one 16-ounce jar using the Sterling glitter paint. Apply it in a pouncing motion in as many coats as desired. Be sure to let it dry between coats.

  3. Using a clean 1-inch flat brush, paint one 8-ounce and one 16-ounce jar using the Sugar Cube glitter paint. Apply as many coats as desired and let it dry.

  4. Once your mason jar lids are dry, measure and cut enough ribbon to fit around the outside. Using your hot glue gun, glue the ribbons around the outside of each lid. Refer to project photo for placement.

  5. Once the four jars are dry, stuff each of them with a string of LED lights. Place the lids back on the jars and enjoy!
